Pawel Mendrek (1975, Sosnowiec/Poland) can be described as an artist living in constant motion or even quiver. A quiver between the real image of the world outside and the experience trying to correct it. In a quiver being the effect of dissatisfaction with any of these perspectives. There is no objective image of the world, so we have to be satisfied with the quivering one – this conviction results in a particular kind of “elusiveness” characteristic for all Paweł Mendrek’s works. A.Tobis. He graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and University for Applied Arts Vienna. For more than 10 years he has been working with collage technique. Pawel’s works were exhibited in Museum Applied Arts Vienna; Kunstlerhaus Vienna; Museum of Art, Taiwan; Sienna Art Institute in Italy; BWA Bielsko-Biała Gallery, Poland and also in Mill&Short Gallery in San Francisco.
